The
Evening Gown competition really has to be seen in
motion. At the end of this article is a link to the SLCN
video, where you will see what these gowns do as the avatars walk
the runway. Miss Brasil was up first, and her gown rose and fell
in waves as she moved. Designed by Bahar Vega from
Dare2Bite, it is named after Foz do Iguacu, one of the most famous
landmarks of Brazil, a huge waterfall three times the size of
Niagara Falls.

The
contestants assembled on the stage and at the end of the Evening
Gown segment the judges conferred privately to select the five
finalists.
The
region was full, with over 80 avatars present, and people banging
at the boundaries to get in. There were some lag issues, but
the show still progressed smoothly. Occasionally a
contestant would crash or a texture would me missing, as you can
see in the screen shot to the right.
While
everyone waited for the judges to select the finalists the
audience was treated to a live performance by Starr Singer Her
rendition of "When you wish upon a star" was perfect for
the occasion.
